Introduction

This is my BA Sound Arts blog and notebook for my last year of university, where I will document and notate my process for my final year porfolio work. The unit is divided into two main portfolio works, a major one that will encompass my main project work and research, and a secondary project that is going to be completely different than the first one. I decided to create two different pieces of work to demonstrate my wide range of skills in different forms and contexts.
For my main project I will create a digital instrument, that can be used to compose different types of music and sound art. This will test my abilities as an experimental musician and researcher, expanding my coding abilities and challenging me to create a fully working DSP application. The second portfolio work will be a full audio production for a film or documentary. This will include recording, editing, sound design and music. I have experience working for sound for film and with this project I would like to keep building my skills on the subject. Without a doubt it will be an ambitions project, as I intend to work in every aspect of the film by my self, in order to improve my skills in each aspect and fully understand the post-production process in sound for film.
Its important to note that this blog will focus mainly in the process of creating Project 1, documenting its research and context.
